killer string art at the West Elm...a piece by artist Pamela Nelson at the George Bush Presidential Center...Friday's bánh mì feast...Bryan and Millie were off on a father/daughter adventure this weekend which meant more girl time for me and the Audster. The older the girlies get, the more special this one-on-one time seems to be — there's just an ease to the situation that allows for all manner of confession and secret-though spilling. It's pretty brilliant, I'm not gonna lie. Also brilliant: dinner dates at our favorite Chinese joint; magazine binges by the pool; and dessert-fueled, age-appropriate rom-com viewing. Yes, I realize this is sounding a little like a Cathy cartoon, so to seal the deal, we also cuddled the cat.

It was pure bliss.
